For parents who want their children to do something, whether it’s sports, or music, or dancing, or drawing, whatever, there are three ways. The first is, as it were, for the laziest. All of these classes are there, basically, in regular schools. In high schools, starting in middle school, sixth grade, kids definitely have some kind of sport that kids can choose for themselves. Most often, it’s team sports or tennis and swimming. Most schools have that. You can find out what your school has specifically on their website. There on the site will be written all the sports that this school has. Likewise, all schools have a drama club – drama classes, drawing classes, music classes, etc. It’s like part of the school curriculum.
A child can do that in school. If you want your child to take more in-depth classes, then there are two more avenues. The next option is to take classes under the city or district. Cities and districts always have so many different activities, different classes. And every season they change, they are added. Anything that’s available in your city, you can look it up on the website. I’ll show you later, at the end of the video, what’s available in San Jose, and how to see what’s available in different cities in general. You can sign up or enroll your child – there are different classes, sports, etc., not just for kids, by the way – both for classes in your own city and for classes in neighboring cities. The only difference is that if you survive in that city, you pay cheaper, and if you sign up in another city, you pay a little bit more expensive.
More often than not, each season, there are, I think, 4 seasons – spring, summer, very, winter – each season they send in the mail, bring a catalog with some of the classes and the whole full list is online. Depending on the road, depending on how developed it is, there can be a lot of classes. In San Jose, apparently because it’s a big city too, there’s a very large selection of different things for both kids and adults.
Different activities, both sports and cultural, etc. And we can also, for example, sign up in neighboring cities, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, etc. Basically, any city, basically. And the third option, it is more expensive, but if you, for example, want your child to do something more seriously and get better knowledge, skills, then it is best to enroll him in some private school, private club, private club. There are many of them, depending on what you want your child to do. That is, it could be, for example, a tennis academy, or a karate school, or something else.
It’s all private here. So, for example, if you want your child to study violin seriously, you have to give him private music lessons. That is, you have to find a good teacher for your child to go to and practice with. Likewise, if it’s a sport, you should send him to a private section, a private school, or a private academy.
